Butyl Quinoline Secondary has a smooth, fine, woody-vetiver-leather character. It is used in chypre, leather, woody compositions and in masculine colognes where it imparts great diffusion and fixation.
These share the same CAS number (65442-31-1) — the same core molecule sold under different trade names. They're close to interchangeable, but purity and isomer ratio can cause subtle differences in strength and character, so treat them as near-identical rather than exactly the same.
