Smooth, woody, amber with unique aspects giving a "velvet" like sensation. Used to impart fullness and subtle strength to fragrances. Superb floralizer found in the majority of newer fine fragrances. Richer in the desirable gamma isomer than is isocyclemone.
These share the same CAS number (54464-57-2) — the same core molecule sold under different trade names. They're close to interchangeable, but purity and isomer ratio can cause subtle differences in strength and character, so treat them as near-identical rather than exactly the same.
